Default Battery Replacement

Hello All,

Does anyone here can help me, my petrol 807 battery died due to long time no used without engine warming up.

I open the right door (driver side) manually with the key since the remote doesn't work due to car battery flat and not sure is the battery key also flat.

Regarding to the issue above, do i have replace the car battery as usual by positioning the right hand door in lock position without pushing the lock button on remote key? please advice.

Your advice is highly appreciated it, thanks in advance.

On my old 807 i just sat in the car with the new battery and tools waited the three mins and swapped battery and then turned on lights etc from inside the car and it worked fine.

I have also heard that just leaving the door open for 5 mins with everything off will still allow all the systems to shut down and then just change the battery and turn on lights etc

Hello Windy,
Thank you for your share, did you replaced the battery without open the door since the space is doesn't sufficient to do it?

Is that with the dead battery or still have remaining power to activate the light, instrument cluster etc?

thanks in advance

Maybe your is a different spec with the cover and clamp removed I managed to get battery in and out with door closed. Maybe another option is to close the door lock (with a screwdriver shaft etc) with the door open as the sensor is in the lock the car will think the door is closed and go to sleep as normal
