Default 807 aux belt melted

1st time poster

driving along squealing noise then smell of burning rubber. when stopped the aux self had melted not snapped.... any ideas where to start looking for the problem

first guess would be a seized alternator or alternator pulley clutch thing..

take the belt off and check all the pulleys

Yes, sounds like something has seized.

Similar thing here: squealing and eventually threw the belt off. Tensioner had seized.

Third confirmation something caused the belt to fail dont just fit a new belt check all the pulleys in all honesty it could be any one that caused it and sometimes once cool they turn again !
