Default 806 power socket query.

I have a 2001 806 (petrol). I have a Garmin sat nav mounted on the top RH corner of the windscreen, and a mobile phone also mounted on the RHS of the dash. The cigarette lighter is on the left with the ashtray, and in any case is only 'live' when the ignition is on. I'm thinking of mounting an additional lighter-socket somewhere on the RHS. I can't find anything about removing dash panels etc to see if there's sufficient room behind, or wiring info. I have the Peter Russek book but this doesn't cover interior panels etc (and the 'wiring diagram' in it is incomprehensible!). Anyone out there have any ideas? Should welcome any advice/suggestions.

I think that the panel above the pedals comes off pretty easily just with a torx screwdriver, some of the screws are hidden behind a black plastic panel. This panel is where the cruise control enable switch is (or would be) in front of your right knee as you are sitting in the seat
