Default 806 2.0hdi mpg?

Hi all, due to the growing family, we have now upgraded to the 806 from the Picasso,

I have a question, the hdi in them both is the same, but the mpg is quite different, what would cause this, as surely its the same weight?, and the build on them both is 2002.

Regards

Martin

Weight. As you say, 806 is an upgrade, therefore bigger, heavier and not so aerodynamic. Picasso seems like a slippery beastie.
My old boss had 2 picassos, an early 2.0hdi, then a newer 1.6hdi, both 90bhp, and both very economical.

i may just be picking here, i put 20 diesel in at 1.41 per litre, which if i worked out right is just over 3.15 gallons, we covered 70 miles since we purchased the car on saturday, and there is a quarter of a tank left, and it was empty when we picked it up, but im very happy with the car, will try and get a picture up.
