The peugeot is gone. Which I feel a bit sad about

And replaced with a Citroen C4 Picasso. 2016, 1.6 blueHDI, EAT6 auto, Feel Model.

Its very comfy/easy to drive, and very very economic - zero road tax, sips fuel. Time will tell how reliable it is.

Slight case of head ruling heart - avoided the posher model as 3k dearer and bigger alloys makes it a harsher ride. Mine is still well equiped and has just enough toys to keep me happy. Parts seem to be similar in price to the 508 which is no great surprise. Think I will invest in good quality seat covers as I am used to leather and am not a fan of fabric seats.

I will still pop in here now and again and give out my 'pearls of wisdom'

Everybody take care, Dave

Well wear in the new motor Dave. You will notice a difference between 1.6 and 2.2 engines no doubt....

How do you get zero road tax on a 2016 1.6 diesel?

Because it falls (just) within the zero road tax banding for the year it was registered.

Later ones have the same emissions, but the government changed the rules so I think it is now 120 or 140 to tax - not quite sure.
