Nice!
Under what section in Diagbox is this counter if you remember?
In the video they say that they replaced o-ring on smaller plug, but I didn't do this.

Denis.. there are two ways. One is Read the oil wear counter and the other is through Repair. I prefer the second.

Under the global test, select the Auto Gearbox ECU.. then select Repair then select Replace Transmission oil and finally select Reset Wear Counter.. mine had the same numbers as my mileage (which also confirms the mileage on my car was not tampered with when I bought it earlier this year)

I have noticed a massive difference and shall be doing another flush in Summer.. the shifts are smoother and I dont get the jerk which was getting during stop start traffic.

Hi,

I talked to the authorized Peugeot service and they told me it is a life long oil in the gearbox and needs to not be changed at all.

Makes me worried reading this thread since my car got 150.000 km and never had gearbox oil changed. What would you recommend?

"life long oil in the gearbox" is for person that buys it 1st.
Then that person sell the car after 3-5 years and has excellent experience and will buy it again.
You or me who maybe can't afford new car like this, buy a car that needs care, but Peugeot (and others) doesn't care about us, because we will never buy car like this new.... if you get my point.

I have and suggest you also refresh gearbox oil.

Hi Denis,

thanks for the tip. I will talk to my mechanic again, although my gearbox works fine for now.
Purely mechanical you have right. All movable parts need fresh oil, especially after many kilometers. I also doubt there is a "lifelong" oil, especially AM6 is not the newest generation of the gearbox, rather an old one.

Lep pozdrav v Slovenijo!

Have a look on the gearbox oil bottle..... there's a printed expiry date. Yep, gearbox oil can expire when left in a sealed bottle, on a temperate shelf. Let that make your mind up.

Oil needs changed regularly regardless what any dealer tells you yes it is long life oil but that does not mean LIFE LONG !

Oil changes are good for all mechanical items the oil gets dirty and needs cleaned !
