Default Opening the windows using the remote

So, i just found that you can open the car windows by using the remote and you can do that by pressing and holding the unlock button on the remote and close them by pressing and holding the lock button.

I gotta say that closing the windows by using remote is pretty useful for me. However, i haven't seen a good use of opening them with the remote.

Is there any way to turn this feature off?

Hi,
The thing is if you press the unlock button by mistake and while it's in your pocket the car will lock itself back not to mention that people who pass by might not know that it's unlocked but the windows will remain open all the way down which could be inviting to some 😛

This feature is standard on most cars for about 15 years or longer. I've had a Golf IV with this feature in 2001, so it is far from being new

The only way to disable it permanentely is by recoding the module which is respoisible for the windows control, perhaps your dealer can do this, if not then you can probably search online and find someone with the correct software (and knows what needs to be done) who can disable this for you.

People mostly want to enable this, on cars which come with the feature disabled (VAG cars usually, unless you pay for it).

Wow, people pay money for this feature? Don't get me wrong but i mean that's all about installing a code.
I gotta say that closing the winows is pretty neat as i don't need to check every window before leaving the car.

I will see about the dealership and hope that they can program it.

Yes unfortunately they pay, or at least I remember it was an option when buying a Volkswagen Golf The car usually already had the capability, but it was disabled in the configuration, and if you paid for example 200-300Ä extra then you get it enabled in factory

Check with your local dealership, if they can't do it, then look for "unofficial" possibilities.

Shame Peugeot just couldn't give the owner a simple on OR off selection for both opening & also closing the windows in the car set up on the touch screen.

Greetings from Finland!
I was looking an answer for this same problem, because I don't find my new 5008 as same condition as my former VW Golf few years ago...
P.S. Don't keep your keys in your pocket when laying on couch...

Something I found out the other day by accident, was that if you have the sunroof fitted in your car, the all close function also closes the electric blind!
I've not tested if it opens yet??
