Default satnav problem

Hi, is there any way of re-setting the built in satnav?
Mine seems to accept the information I put in and proceeds to work out a route but the map on screen bears no relationship to what has been inputted,
eg. when I am in Windsor the map seems to show the Southampton area!
Any ideas.

Sounds like a problem with getting a GPS lock.

How many satellites are visible? I believe it tells you on the map screen.

Otherwise, I'd want to get it on PP2k to see if I could work out why it doesn't know where it is.

Hi, from previous replies to problems of a similar nature, the problem seems to be related to a faulty ABS sensor, because the SatNav system uses at least one of them to work out the distance travelled.
Perhaps a check on all four abs sensors would reveal if I of them is not working.
Martin.

Wouldn't a bad sensor be throwing up faults?

I think I read somewhere on here about someone getting a GPS receiver off eBay and using that. I'll see if I can find it...

Yes but most people would never link the two.

I'd speak to m3mpower he knows these units better than anyone.
