Default RT3 Nav Unit Resets

Every time I start my car, My RT3 nav unit seems to reset or not remember it's last setting. So it'll always start up playing a CD even though I finished the last time playing the radio.

Or, the vehicle orientation changes back to north oriented instead of my preferred vehicle oriented.

Any idea why this happens?

Mine was doing similar a bit before the battery died and since fitting the new battery it has improved.
Plus I know the back up battery in the unit is dead and needs replacing.

There is an option in Peugeot Planet to test the battery health I believe and then reset the unit after replacement.

The battery is inside the RT3 and a few screws at the back access it if I remember rightly.

Does the time and date reset to 0 too?

Thanks guys.

I have peugeot planet so I'll give it a go.

Oddly, nothing else really gets forgotten, so the date and time is always fine. It remembers my phone numbers, etc.
