Default Rear right external and internal reverse sensor ground to positive

Just wondering, with it being both external and internal ground to positive, does it sound more like the box in the boot? Thinking if the internal bit is the boot then it would throw the external as well?

I may be talking ballax, have been known to in the past :-)

Cheers troops

Try unplugging the sensor and see if fault changes. If its the sensor i would expect fault to change to external sensor open circuit.

Are you using planet to read codes as some other devices can have cryptic error messages and i could mean the outer and inner sensors in relation to their position on the bumper as opposed to inside/outside the car

Cheers for reply, using diagbox v7.49 been consistent reading the fault, I'll whip the box out as the car is new (to me) so I'll check for ingress of moisture (oooeerr misses) and dry solder joints

Can I be cheekily ask; I blanked the EGR valve, obviously throwing errors in diagbox, I've read folk have 'switched egr off' or is it best to leave it (no EML lights on so not a major drama)

Cheers
