Default Question about 407 engine

Dear, one question. I have a Peugeot 407, 2.o petrol 103 kW, 2006. Built into his gas after 3 years. Now it is 256,000 km, use Total 5-40, and spends about 3 liters to 10,000 km. Is it worrying?

3 liters per 10,000 km is equal to about 12,000 MPG

3 liters = 0.659908 gallons
10,000 km = 6213.71

Not worrying - it's a frickin miracle

Yes, and my dad's EW10 engine 2.0 petrol 407 also uses quite a lot of oil.
Not sure how much though, never measrued it properly. But it needs a top-up or two between the oil changes.

These engines are kinda known to be a bit thirsty of oil.

I'd have done a complete oil change in that distance so personally can't see what the worry is. I kind of lost all context of the post after I read 'Built into his gas after 3 years'

Probably converted to run on LPG when it was 3 years old? Just a guess though

3 litres in 10000km's actually means you'll need to add oil quite often. I think the distance between max and min mark on the dipstick is about one litre. So it'll use that in just 3000km's, quite annoying if you ask me.
