Default Power steering

Sometimes, when pulling away from the kerb or parking, the steering seems to lose assistance, no fault codes are present and the fluid level seems correct. Any ideas?

The steering is electric and it may be just the voltage dropping too much when idling try revving slightly when turning.

There are many possibilities though.

I had a problem on my 407, the fluid actually had some kind of a foam when shutting the car off, replacing the fluid seems to solve the problem for me.

Clean the connector with electrical contact cleaner.
