Exclamation Please help faults everywhere

Hey guys i just recently brought a 2006 407 2.2L executive and i love it to bits, the only thing is it has some electrical issues, i will try to explain the best i can,

1. The esp fault sign is constantly up on the dash and every time i start the car it comes up the esp fault and dosnt go away

2. THE BIG ONE, i will be driving and all of a sudden the power steering fault will come up followed by, gearbox fault, abs fault, depollution fault, engine management fault, air bag or seat belt tenstioner fault, braking system fault, after that the gearbox goes into limp mode and either stays in 1st or 4th, also if i stop and put it in park it will then be stuck in park for a few hours, the only way i fix it is if i disconnect the battery for an hour or 2 and sometimes that doesnt even fix the problem, i find it weird how all the faults come up all at once

3. Now i have the depollution fault up on my dash constantly no matter if i disconnect the battery

If anyone can help me that would be super appreciated

Thankyou
Josh

I would first check all the earth (ground) connections, especially in the engine compartment. You need corrosion-free clean, dry, paint-free connections.

Ideally, get PP2k on it to see what it thinks is wrong.

1. ESP (without ABS) is probably the brake pedal switch.

3 is probably related to 2.

2 certainly does sound like an electrial problem than a real problem.

Unrelated but critical: change the gearbox oil.

It's a known problem caused by a faulty brake pedal switch - Peugeot issued a technical notice about it. Just buy a new sensor and a wiring loom (about £30) and install it yourself. Service Box shows how to do it. You pull out the soundproofing under the driver side facia to get at the switch.

is your battery good? check terminals and battery wires. most of instantaneous faults comes with broken wires, loose connections ect..
