Depends what the fault is could just be a faulty sensor, but on mine it's water ingress so every so often I spray wiring and sensors with contact cleaner and fault disappears.

+1 for the spraying with contact cleaner

On my 307, I replaced the tap that helps to keep the connectors on the sonsors clean. The tape forms a loop in holes in the cross member that the rear bumper sits on. I think in heavy rain or heavy spray and salty roads from the winter, the connection got damp and weren't drying and not being protected. I also cleaned the connector inside the rear panel where it connects to the reversing unit......just crawl underneath and give a clean and see how they are protected

Forgot to say I also use the spray protection wax from toolstation to seal the connection between wiring and sensor, works brilliantly.
