Default Oil level low when parked facing down hill (2.2 petrol)

Is it common to be warned of low engine oil level on the 2.2 petrol engine (EW12J4) when parked facing down hill? I notice the oil level sensor is at the back of the engine.

Could well be if the hill is quite steep.

My 307 used to do this a lot, the sensors aren't that great.

The manual states that the car must be parked on level ground for some time, around 30 minutes I think, for the oil level indicator to show the correct level.
