I manually primed the system, but ran the battery flat trying to start the car.
recharged the battery overnight and refitted, I didnt want to flatten the battery so I cracked of the pipes at the injectors had a friend crank the car until fuel was spraying and retightened the pipes and it started straight away.

I thought i Had sorted the car but, took the car for a drive and when i stopped there was a plume from under the bonnet and the smell of fuel burning on the exhaust.
injector pipes dry, leak back pipes not leaking, no fuel leaks that I can see.
it only seems to burn fuel on the exhaust when the car is driven, i have left the engine ticking over and no leaks.
The car drives fine any ideas please.

Trustme, I think you may have been right took the car for a 60 mile round trip to the Brecon Beacons, my theory being its kill or cure and good news it seems to be ok no more burning of excess fuel.
I'll just keep an eye on it over the next few weeks.
