Default Noises from drivers seat

My 407 had developed crunch / creak sound from drivers seat. Sounded like metallic noise and it was not always there. Usually it started after 30 minutes of driving and it was quiet when it was colder. After spraying every accessible joint with PTFE lube and tightening every visible bolt and nut I was only able to achieve a oily mess under the seat but noise was still there. Today I removed whole seat from the car and stripped the fabric and cushions. The fault was in cracked seat frame that I fixed with some welding. Cleaned the excess lube seat frame and installed seat back to car. Now it is quiet again. Car has only 97 000 km on the clock but my 108 kg fat ass has done the job over the years Maybe somebody will find this info useful.

Sure, here you go. You also need T45 and T20 torx bits. Skip the backrest disassembly and go to seat cushion removal right away. Only mystery detail is backrest angle adjustment lever - you just need to pry it out, there is no screw or locking pin involved.

Front seat removal

Front seat side trim removal

Front seat cushion removal

BTW forum attachment policy sucks.
