Default new key fob; easy swap??

Remote Flip Key Fob Case Shell for PEUGEOT 207 307 407 308 607 3 Button w. Blade | eBay

how easy are these to swap over folks?
the buttons on mine are wearing thin and I was considering getting one of these and swapping it all over?
anything to be aware of or any tricks or tips?

easy only take a couple of mins but its probably best to get the blade cut instead of swapping them over easier too!

yeah wasn't planning on doing a blade swap anyway; seems just as easy to get it cut!

Check with your local key cutter first. Over here nobody will cut an Ebay purchased key because the metal used damages the key cutters.

They'll only cut a key blank bought from the dealers and want to see the paper invoice.

It might even be worth checking if your local cutter supplies them first. For example I found that a locksmith in Ellesmere Port would supply a genuine fob (without electrics) for the same price as Peugeot, and would throw cutting in for free.

Swapping the blade over takes about a minute.
I replaced one of the keys on the 307 with a second hand (but not used) genuine key from eBay.

Last time I asked Glews (main dealer) of Goole would cut the blade for free as long as the key was purchases from them

Yes, just swap the PCB over to the new key and swap the blade/get the blank one cut.

Bit late but - there's a difference between a saloon & estate key ..... I found this out to my detriment as I bought a saloon key and I have an estate so I now need to buy another one...

As for swapping the blade (if required) it's fiddly but doable...
