Think you mean MAF sensor (mass airflow meter).

Easy to take off and clean with contact cleaner. 50 quid upward to buy (depending on make/ quality).

The symptoms are typical of a dirty/ faulty maf.

Try getting a diagnostic done.

I'm wondering if a dose of BG244 through the fuel tank might help? It'll clean the fuel system and injectors out. I've used it before to help when i service it.

BG244 is a diesel fuel system cleaner. Heavy duty stuff and is documented on websites as being used by garages during servicing. BG44K is the same but for petrol. I'm presuming you have diesel as you've blocked the egr.

Just google BG244. You should see a UK company called Power Enhancer who sell it in the UK. I think some Kwik fits sell BG44K?

The company also have an ebay site too, which is where I order mine from when I need it.
