Default Headlight out, not bulb or ignighter

One of the headlights on my 407 is out.

I've tried a new D2S bulb, and tried swapping the ignighter from the other headlight that does work, but no joy.

Any ideas what could be up or what to try next?

Ta.

The 406 has mini fuses in the engine bay fuse box, 10amp I think - 4 red ones for Hi/low - left/right.

I guess the 407 is the same..?

Checked all the fuses but they all seem to be in tact

Then I'm stumped, unless there is a break in the wire due to chaffing..??

What about the Xenon ballast then? Bolted to the underside of the lamp unit?

Aha! Good idea.
That'll need the front bumper to come off to get the headlight out, right?

Would guess that is required, if not you at least risk breaking something

Had a mobile guy change the ballast today (front bumper has to come off) and that's sorted it.

The old one clearly has some corrosion around the connector.

Stupid thing.
