Default Headlamp Washers

2007 407 2.2 petrol, it has covers on the bumper for headlamp washers, so I lifted them and the washer units are there but I don't think they are working? Car has "discharge bulbs" but im not sure if the headlamp washers have to work? My Z4 had Xenon bulbs and headlamp washers working were part of the MOT.

Anyone know if there is a fuse or relay that operates the headlamp washers, or indeed do I need them working with "discharge bulbs" ?????

It would look nice for a change wouldn't it, if Peugeot made the jets to look like machine gun nozzles?
