Default Which fuel system should I choose?

Hi, everyone!
I am about to buy a 2008 407, 2.0 hdi.
The thing that bothers me is the fuel system which is Delphi in the case.

I am wondering is there any proved to be better/worse fuel system among ones integrated in 407?
As far as I know there is also Siemens and may be Bosch?

Thank you!

BR,
Bobby

Welcome to the forum.
What are your concerns over the Delphi fuel system.

Honestly I do not have any concerns from personal experience. Just wondering is the fuel system maker is something I should consider when buying a 407 diesel.
I have read for example in a Ford forum that Delphi is very problematic system and soon or later the injectors get bad.

Be interesting to see what people come back with.
I've had my 407 diesel for 10 years now, don't know what fuel system I have. Never had a problem with it. No doubt if it develops a problem I would have to find out.
Malcolm.

Using this link you can check your fuel system. Just need to enter your VIN number.
pp2000 dot ru/vin/
It is in Russian but it is clear enough.
Share after that what type is yours and if you had any issues.

Thanks!

Siemens is by far the most common system and it does have issues with pumps sometimes but its not that common.

Delphi is probably least common and second hand parts are scarce.

I personally have not seen a 407 with bosch so it could well be rare too

As far as I understood Bosch is used only with 1.6 HDi.
