Unhappy Extremely Frustrated Peugeot 407 Owner

Hi hope some one out there can help us.We have a 407 hdi 2.0 2004 reg

For the past 6 months the car seems to judder, jerk, stumble or something like that hard to explain in words it feels like somthing wants to pop under the seats

This happens when the car is travelling between start / 2000 revs if we travel at 70 mph it seems ok

we have tried the regeneration test at 3000 revs for 20 mile or so

with this you seem to get a pop from exhaust then things ok for a day then back to the same problem.

The display is clear showing no faults

We have replaced

Diagnostics Check ( no faults found )

EGR Valve/Gasket

New Peugeot Software Download

Air Temp Sensor

Full Peugeot service

Serine Fluid / reset counters

As you can see we have spent some money on this car and the problem still persits

Is there any one out there who may help us

Have heard about Peugeot Planet but not sure what this is and there is a guy near us Geoff P who does this dont know how to contact him or even if we need this

Please help

Hi darklord

Sorry to hear your problems.. I have had my fair share with mine. I cannot offer any direct mechanical advice but my previous thread 'confessions of a 407 owner' may help.

darklord,

I know what you mean, It is difficult sometimes to find the root cause. It seems that if you only have 1 x problem it often creates another and then another,, if you get my drift?

Mine is far from perfect again but 'stvstx' found a broken breather pipe and 2 x of the turbo pipes were around the wrong way and another blocked. I know the above is of little help with the problem i guess my point is it may be something as simple as a blocked pipe etc. Mine ran so so rough just above and below 2000 and at times it was like someone had stole the turbo and put kangaroo juice in.

Geoff P is a decent chap, he runs the 407 owners club. Register on www.407owners.com, pay the fee to become a full member, and you can then pm him.

There's a big pool of knowledge over there, so it might be worth joining anyway.
