Default Engine coolant level

Hi,
I got 407 HDi 2.0 and i have problem with coolant level behavior.
1. say, i open the coolant tank morning, it is in it's normal level,
2. Drive some distance ( about 20 -40 Km) and check coolant level externally ( without opening the cap) right after stop the engine, coolant level is about 1-2 inch up from bottom of tank
3. Next day morning coolant level has come up by another half a inch ( when check from out side) and when open expansion tank cap, inside pressure release with sound, then coolant level come to the normal level.
4. No over heating while driving. no leakages detected. no reduction of coolant.
recently i change coolant expansion tank with cap and thin tube from radiator to exp tank.

is this normal? can such pressure be present in cooling system in morning, when engine is fully cold ?

My guess is that you still have an air lock somewhere, maybe it will bleed itself over time.

As the other poster says, sounds like an air lock to me

Should be a bleed nipple on thermostat housing, open this with engine running and wait for coolant to flow out of it before closing
