Default Airbag faults not clearing

Hi,

had a 2008 , 2.0 HDi 407 coupe on Peugeot planet today...
3 fault codes to do with driver and passenger airbags came up...
I wanted to clear these faults as they didn't clear for him after the person had done the work to the car and installed new airbags, ecu, etc.
But it wouldn't let me clear them, anyone any idea why?

Airbag ECU is self-diagnosing.
If it's showing a fault, the fault is still there.

EDIT - Assuming the airbag light is on?

Clearing the fault codes doesn't fix a problem.

If the car has had new airbags, does that mean its had a bump? If so you need to send off your airbag ECU for resetting.

You really need to give us more clearer information on the situation in order for us to help.

It got a hit yes.

3 faults after hit. Airbags did fire..
He then installed new airbags, etc
But Airbag Light is still on though... it didn't clear automatically after everything was fixed.

Does the ecu need re-programming? Is that what u were referring to when you mentioned the ecu needing reset?

Airbag ECU stores crash data which cannot be cleared using PP2000. The ECU needs to be sent to a specialist to have the crash data cleared and the ECU reset.
