Default 508

Hi All,

Just been informed by the local dealers that the 508 launch in South Africa will be delayed till December 2011 due to the tsunami in Japan. Apparently some of the parts is from Japan (?) and it all got washed away.

Any one got any feedback yet on a 508?

Looks like a stunning car.

Gerhard.

Yes, driven a GT. Torn between a 508SW and a 3008 Hybrid 4 next.

3008 and 508 are they not two different style vehicles? What is the 508 going for in the Queen's land? What does the GT offer? Wonder if it will be available in SA.

They are different vehicles, yet not so disimilar - both are 5 seaters with a decent sized cabin and a big boot. They just achieve it in different ways.

the 508 seems a little bland compared to its predecessor

Oh Trem I'm gonna have to disagree there! I think the 508 is really stylish. The 407 might be more 'in your face', but it was never pretty! Don't get me wrong, I like the 407, but pretty it ain't!

so if the 508 is so stylish how come underneath the peugeot lion on the bonnet they felt the need to put "peugeot".Wasnt because it blends in too much would it. all other recent pugs are very distinctive without the need for that

I don't think the 508 offers anything more than the current 407s... the style isn't that different, OK maybe a little more rounded in places and looks a bit more like a BMW than a Peugeot, but from what I've seen there isn't much else to them... spec is no better than 407, they're not cheap with entry level still being 20k..... I would have thought they would have decided to supersede the 407 and give this a facelift rather than bringing out another range.
