Default 407SW 2.0 litre diesel cutting out

hi I've got a Peugeot 407 SW 09 plate 2 litre diesel, the problem im experiencing is as follows:-
I can be driving in the fast lane of the motorway and all of a sudden I get a chime, the esp light comes on and the engine cuts out, I can restart the engine straight away and drive off with no warning lights on or any further problems, it is very intermittent, there is no set time limit as to when this occurs.
I have had the car on the Peugeot diagnostic machine yesterday and they said no faults are stored at all, not even in the ESP.
I have been told to check in the boot for water ingress, Peugeot confirmed this is dry.
any leads would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
