Default 407 radio issue

Hi folks...... Just bought myself a 2004 407....wee problem with the radio.... It knocks off and on again every 7 seconds regular as clockwork... Any ideas? Also been told I can't just go buy a radio from the scrap yard and fit it into my car?

You can buy a radio from another car but it will need recoded to your car as they are vin coded its easy enough for someone with diagbox/planet

You need to know what you have though is it JUST a radio/cd player or a sat nav if sat nav you need the correct head unit normal one wont do

Radio going off every 7 seconds sounds like its already been changed by someone and not coded to the car.
