Default 407 Petrol leakage

Last night I had the misfortune of suffering a petrol leak from my 6yrs+ 407. The car started "dragging" and soon stalled. Fortunately, I was able to quickly move the car to the side of the highway before it completely stopped. The battery was fine, no warnings showed..everything checked as "OK".

While waiting for the tow truck, I smelt petrol inside the car and soon I saw it leaking from underneath the bonnet...quite heavily too.

I'm wondering has any other owners of Peugeot suffered the same fate as me?

2ndly, could it be caused by the recent ABS indicators I changed?
Please share your views and experiences. Thanks

I snagged a fuel line in my Pug 205 once on a speed bump. It happened right next to a compound housing the South Yorkshire police helicopter.

I went to the force HQ to see if they had something to patch the line but all they did was scramble the chopper in case the car blew up and rang the fire brigade!
