Cool 407 lost power

Hi help my 407 2.0 hdi has lost all power and is now blowing white smoke
Also whilst revving engine my turbo pipes collapse
Car still starts and runs no strange knocking or overheating
It started with a strange whining sound

Long since you have changed the air-filter?

I had my boost pipes collapsing when I was giving it quite a lot of throttle on my 405 TD.
Cleaned air-filter and started to behave good again.

Any depollution faults showing in your instrument?

Suspect terminal turbo failure. Mine did the hose collapsing thing when it failed. That coupled with the whining sound and the loss of power seems its time for a new one. About 900 ish fitted

Turbo is seized or shaft is broken causing too much restriction in intake

You need a turbo most likely unless there is more info to come later

Hence the reason why Gibbo makes the comment about contributing to posters with one post to their name asking for answers to their problems. They get the free advice and never come back to contribute.
