Default 407 GT Coupe - Driver side electric seat problem

Hi everyone,

I bought a 2007 v6 3.0 407 gt coupe a few months back and yesterday I adjusted the driver's electric seat as low as it would go, and as far back as possible.

Something has happened as the seat will not move at all now and I'm really not sure what to do.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

Default How did you get on?

I'm not sure if you got a PM or another thread response but my son did the same with my Coupe and it now clicks as though something is disengaged.

I've just had it out to see if anything is accessible or obviously detached, but it is a full strip down job I fear, more motors and wiring in that seat than the whole of my TVR!

Does yours make any noise at all?

If no noise - possibly disconnected from the computer under the seat (yes there is a computer under the seat!)

If it makes a whirring noise, probably completely disengaged.

If it makes a clack, clack noise like mine, something is partially disengaged.

I suspect the correct approach is to get another seat from a scrap yard, but when I've finished building my other car I might take the seat out and strip it down in a nice warm garage.
