Default 407 coupe oil (Facelift

my 407 coupe 2.0 hdi (163) engine code DW10 CTED4 (facelight model 09) takes 5w-30 oil but my question is, there are so many variations are they all compatible.
There are various castrol 5w-30 for example (c2 or a4 or others)
Is there a list of compatiable oils someone could signpost me to?

Thanks to anyone in advance

As far as I am aware, the C ratings (C1, C2, C3 etc) is for how much ash it produces. C1 produces the least, C5 the most. So using the wrong oil can block the DPF up a lot quicker. (There are also minimum viscosity ratings too attached to the C ratings)

On the DW10BTED4 it's C2 in either the 5W30 or 5W40 form.

On the limited searches I have done, the DW10CTED4 is also C2.

C1 can also be used but it does cost significantly more.

What Peugeot recommends is thankfully also one of the cheapest so you are best off getting that: Total 5W30 Ineo ECS

Total Quartz Ineo ECS 5W30 5L Car Engine Motor Oil Synthetic Technology 5 Litre | eBay
