Exclamation 2005 407 reverse noise

Hi, we recently purchased an 05 407 sedan and whenever it is put into reverse a single, very loud beep noise activates. Anyone know how to turn it off? Thanks.

There is no message and the beep still goes off even with the rear sensors turned off.

You don't say whether you've got a manual gearbox or an automatic and I'm not sure this will help anyway but I also get a "beep" when selecting reverse on my 508's automatic gearbox. I think it's just to warn you that you've selected reverse. I don't know how, or even if, you can turn it off.

Yeah it's an auto, that's what is happening. We just want to at least turn it down because it is very loud.
