Default 2.7 V6 HDi Coupe road tax cost confusion??

Hi Guys

I'm at the moment looking for a 2.7 V6 HDi 407 Coupe but i'm getting conflicting information between the shoddy DVLA and motor traders?

DVLA's new crappy online system tells me it costs 485 a year to tax the above model, but one motor trader is telling me 285 a year and another is telling me 485!!

Can anyone on here confirm how much it is to tax a 2.7 V6 HDi 407 coupe please?

I was going to go for a 2.7 V6 HDi 407sw but decided not to because of the 485 price tag!

Many thanks

It is more likely to be the higher amount DVLA should be right

That's the confusing part, a couple of months ago when i was looking DVLA had the system where you put the reg in then it tells you how much it was and how much tax the vehicle had - now its almost like a guesstimate!

I've looked at 2 coupes today, one an 08 and one an 09 - the 08 comes out at 485 and the 09 comes out at 285?

Confused.com!

Enter the reg on the DVLA vehicle enquiry page, that will tell you.

hi, my 07 plate 2.7 v6 is 485 per yr, the 55 plate (only) is 285 per yr as it come out before the tax groups went up. the 09 onwards i believe is the 3.0 v6 hdi is the lower group onwards.

Yes, think it goes up after March 2006 on these. Mine is a 55 plate 2006 pre march and the cheaper tax, anything after I was told would be more.

I realise now that from the 23rd March 2006, all 2.7 V6 HDi coupe's are 485 a year to tax.

I have seen a 09 plate 2.7 HDi coupe and that is 285? Shame though as its 450 miles away from me!

My '58 plate Coupe 2.7Hdi is an early 2009 car and 285 to tax. I know 200 quid is a lot of wonga, but 3.8/week wouldn't put me off owning one of these great cars.
