Default Where is receiver for remote?

As above, trying to locate the receiver antenna for the remote for central locking for my 406HDi.

Was working perfectly, then started becoming more and more difficult to lock the vehicle. Eventually the only place to get it to respond to the lock button was behind the rhs tail light. Now nothing. Have replaced the batteries. Red LED comes on when pressed. Have tried all options for re-activating/reprogramming the remote with no response whatsoever. It is the single button remote BTW.

Because of the gradual failing of the area where the signal would be picked up and lock the car, I suspect the receiving antenna might be faulty/dirty connection etc. but cant find any indication as to where it is on the servicebox wiring diagrams.

Any ideas? Either where the receiving antenna is or what the problem with the remote is?

Cheers!

Any way to test the receiver part in the comm unit apart from checking continuity?
