Default Engine immobiliser fault

Hi.
Trying to start the car Display says Engine Immobiliser fault.

I tried a BSI reset and car started. Drove home, and now the fault is back and i cant get rid of it ;-(

Beeps when leaving key in ignition an opens door

Tried:
BSI Reset
checked connections and wiring brown relay, ECU
Checked wiring in drivers fottwell
Checked every single fuse including the ones on the bsi itself

PP2000 reads BSI AND ECU
Error on BSI No communication between ECU and BSI.

406 Break 2001, 2.0 HDI

What to do ?

Sounds like wiring between ecu and bsi you sound like you have checked the usual suspects though so check the earth at strut tower behind ecu and behind headlight at battery if these are good you may be in for a wiring fight

The most common problem is that the aerial around the ignition barrel that reads the chip in the key fails. Cheap and easy to replace.

Sorry. I couldn't remember whether mine beeped or not when the aerial went.

Nevertheless: what I posted is still a true statement
