Default Antipollution Fault twice in two years, reasonable?

Hi fellas!

November 2012 I got the Antipollution Fault-error on my Peugeot 406 (1.8L) and after some research and searching through this great forum I got a new EGR Valve. Some miles later the error disappeared.

Today July 2014 the error popped up again :\
Is it reasonable that the EGR should only last 1,5 - 2 years?
Or could it be something else thats causing this?

It should be noted, and this is why I think its the EGR Vavle again, that I do mostly use my car to drive short distances in the city.

Gonna give it a read through a friends OBD-II and see if something interesting turns up.
But would still like to hear what you guys think.
