Angry 406 hdi 110 2001 central locking faulty

Central locking is playing up, keeps locking and unlocking and deadlocks come on when engine is switched off. 4 way flashers flash intermittently even when driving (and this in turn loses the main indicators) but they don't show on dash??
Have seen many fixes on the web but am loathed to try them all if someone has a quick fix. I have had the carpets up as I had the old non start problem early last year but soldered that multi plug wiring but floor is dry.
Using a non remote key now as other one is missing.
anyone any ideas?
