Default 406 cruise install, brake fault code

i've got a 2003 406 110 hdi estate that i'm trying to retro fit cruise control to, i got the stalk fitted ,enabled cruise in the engine ecu do i have to do anything in the bsi as i can't any anything in there to change ?
cruise is not working and i get a fault code "permanent fault. brake contact signal. coherence between the 2 brake switches"
which i think is because my car doesn't have the brake switch it does have a clutch switch and a connector which looks as though it would connect to a brake switch.

clutch switch

wire to brake switch

am i right in thinking i need to buy one of these to get it working.
Quinton Hazell Cruise Control Control Switch (XBLS106) | eBay
