Default 406 2l HDI water issues

Hi Rad had a small leak in core and was replaced also bottom hose as plug in connector was corroded away
Once refilled and bleed hoses seemed fine run 60 miles with no water losses
however now loosing a lot of water between 2 and 5 ltrs on a 50 mile trip depending on engine loading
Have since found a leak at the back of the engine bottom left hand side on or around one of the heater hoses , cannot physically see the leak but can see the tell tale signs discolored and wet
Am I right the water pump is situated down here and how can you access this area for a better look as I cannot even get to the spring clip holding on the hose to squeeze it , there must be a better access point than reaching over the top of the engine
Has any one got a drawing or photo of this area so I can visualize what I need to do to locate the leak
not sure the leak is from the hose it may be dripping from the engine side or casing

Water pump is driven by timing belt and would drip out the bottom corner of engine they sometimes leak less when running !

The pipes on the back can leak too but best way to get at them is under the car or through drivers wheelarch once wheel is off find the leak pronto or you may end up needing a head gasket
