Default Slow voice on navigation.

I have had a new 308 SW GT picked up just 1,5 month ago and just recently I tried the navigation system. I didn't try it until now since I use Android auto and Google maps.

Anyway, the maps and navigation is really good. I was driving in Denmark the other day with a 5-lane road and after a while, 2 of them was goin in one direction and 3 in the other direction, and the GPS kindly showed me clearly a closeup that i should select any of the 3 roads to the left.

Very good! However, the voice commands was terrible sounded slow actually, sounded way to slow and it repeated stuff in a strange way I have never heard before. This was in Swedish which is my language.

Probably best you use a different maps service and not quite sure your terminology for your sat navs voice description is very PC , and personally quite derogatory.

Well, english is not my first language as I said, and I could not find a better word to describe it.

I mean, it speaks un-normally slow, repeats words that should not be repeated.
I'm interested to know if it does the same in english on newer Peugeot?

It feels like someone has not checked the navigation in Swedish before they started selling the car. I'm really disappointed in how it works.

But as I also asked, do you know if the voice can be replaced as it can on many standalone navigation systems?

I'm not sure of the options on this later system but at the very least there will be an option between a male and female voice. It will be in the menu there somewhere!

Time to read the owner's handbook I'm afraid.

I've never heard words repeated on any sat nav I've owned. Doesn't sound right.

Can you switch the language to maybe English for a test to see if it's the same? You clearly understand English enough to be able to tell, and far better than my Swedish.

Can you not also go back to the dealer who sold the car to you and ask them? On seconf thoughts, if your dealer is as bad as my local one, the only answer you will get is "they are all like that sir".

Yeah I will check and see if there is more than one voice built in and hopefully that one is not as bad. I will also check if I can select English voice.
