Question Rear bicycle rack suggestions

Hello everyone,

Is anybody able to suggest a safe and easy-to-install bicycle rack for the rear/boot of the car? I'd like to be able to install and uninstall it pretty easily. Should also be safe and not scratch/damage the car.

Thanks!

Manual, page 263.
"Do not fit an accessory carrier to the
tailgate."

I believe that if you have a Westfalia towbar fitted then they also produce a bike carrier that fits on to the towbar. If correct maybe other towbar manufacturers do as well?

Hi Paul!

I do not have a towbar nor intend to get one. I was really thinking of one of those racks that attach to the boot door with cables, but I think Sinisha answered it: it's not recommended!

Thanks

With my former car, Renault Scenic, I used to use this one https://www.thule.com/en-gb/gb/bike-...-9103-_-910301, beautiful - in 5 seconds ready to take bikes and when I don't need it any more in 5 seconds it is detached of car.

That's probably due to the plastic boot.

Best of getting either a tow bar one or a roof rack
