Default Puretech 130 interim oil change necessary?

Is it worth getting an interim oil change or just stick to the 16000 service intervals

Can't be harmful. I don't believe would be some benefits for engine, but can't be bad. And would be more expensive.

I'm doing about 15000 a year so thought it might be a good idea. All I wanted was an oil and filter change but got quoted 180 by a local garage!! They said the oil alone was 70, why so expensive?

I think I'll just stick to the standard service intervals. I'm sure Peugeot wouldn't state a 16000 mile interval if it was going to have an adverse affect on the longevity of the engine.

I think the interval is 16000 or 12 months whichever comes first.

For years I have stuck to the 12 month service regime and my last two cars (both Citroens) I kept for 12 years and 10 years without any major problems . I have had my 308 since April 2016 and am quite happy to stick with annual services. I do about 6000 miles a year.
