Default Particle filter regeneration using Diagbox/Lexia 3 struggle

Hi,

First post so bare with me.
I have a Peugeot 308 1.6HDI Diesel and has done 19500 miles.

I have had an engine fault followed by a particulate filer blockage message come up on my 308. It has also gone into limp mode.
I have purchased Lexia 3 PP2000 and found the filter regeneration part to try do it myself and can clear the problem but it soon comes back. Is this possible to regenerate the filter because when i select this function and follow the instructions the car seems to stay on tick over for an age. Can it be done using this programme/has anyone done this or is it not possible? I have tried driving at 40mph ect as it says in the manual with no success and also put DPF cleaner in the tank. Any help would be great.

From memory it does stay on tickover for some time, it has to get everything up to temperature before any regen can happen.
What engine fault caused a blocked filter?
