I think it's 3 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first.

None of the seals are 100% and the move away from CFC based refrigerants has made it more of a problem. Most service schedules have a regular check and regass as needed check included to keep on top of the problem

Gas is ALWAYS lost... it is not a perfectly sealed system. For example the pump has seals around the pump shaft, those always leak because it will. Not a significant amount but over the years, it will go down...some more than others. Those rubber hoses you see? Again, you will lose the AC refrigerant through that too.

OP's post was down to AC refrigerant pressure, had a friend with a similar problem. That is a serviceable item, similar to complaining about brake pads wearing out.

Kia might have a 7 year warranty but it is just that. A warranty. It isn't a guarantee. The difference being wear and tear isn't covered. You can also pay a little bit more to extend the warranty on your peugeot anyway. If you are close to the limits, i.e, 2000 miles over the stated 60k annual miles, write into peugeot headquarters, they might throw you a bone.

Ok thanks for the advice
My Son is in the motor trade and got me a good deal on a 3 year extended warrany. Gasses do permeate thru seals etc so yes Ok I'll get the gas checked.

I am curiously fond of my "pug" and the fuel mileage is amazing at >>60mpg overall, it's only the gearchange that lets it down a bit but hey it is french.....

Many thanks to all

todd
