Question Will a dealership repair a car if it has been remapped?

My 2012 Peugeot is display various error messages (gearbox, engine, ESP/ASR).

It was remapped over a year ago and has been fine for the year.

I was going to take it to my local Peugeot dealership to look at but will they still look at it, due to the remap?

I just get the feeling they'll blame that if I tell them about it (or they check for it), even if it's nothing to do with it.

Its too old for any warranty claims so it wont make any real difference to them.

Having said that i would find a good independent as peugeot just throw parts at the problem till your wallet is empty.

My independent view is its probably needing a new battery.

Just had one.

And I've been to two independant garages and they were clueless.

The first instantly blamed it on the remap without even caring to look for anything else. Was common as muck. "yeh mate, that's it mate, the remap mate. Nothing but trouble mate."

Second one said clutch (1,600) or gearbox ECU (2,500+) but was also unsure which battery he installed in the car. We had to look ourselves.

Water ingress into fusebox next most common thing then wiring/earths dealers are even more clueless !
