Default Water Leak

2008 Peugeot 308HDi

Hello to all,

Iíve recently managed to fix my Offside Rear Light which had packed in it when I was in the process of removing the fixing screws I noticed a fair bit of water I the area just below the light which I managed to remove and dry the area with a hair dryer. I also removed a vent which I presumed was letting the water in and cleaned it then I siliconed it back into place. So that was that until I checked the area today and the water has returned. Iím thinking maybe itís leaking in from the light assembly seal or the boot seal? Iím a bit suspicious of that vent but maybe one of you guys have had a similar problem?

406s have leaky rear light seals, so it may be genetic.
Not a Peugeot, but a Toyota GT86.
