Default Rear light seal

I am just wondering if the rear light where it fits to the body is supposed to have a seal under it.The reason I ask is today my o/s indicator had a bad contact on the bulb holder so had to take the rear lamp out to fix the fault and noticed there was no seal between the lamp and the body, perhaps this is the reason that my spare wheel is getting wet.If there should be a seal, could this be a dealer part?

There should be a seal. I had a problem with the cable getting caught in the seal and water ingress so can only imagine no seal would be worse
