Default Peugeot 308 SE Auto Head Lights Fault

Hi, I have had my 308 for a couple of years now and just recently the auto lights have been playing up. When I am driving a long the dash display keeps switching between "auto head lights activated" and "auto head lights deactivated." It seems to be at it's worst when it is dawn or dusk but does do it during in the night and day intermittently also. It has recently been in for a service and didn't need a software update as it is fully up to date.

Any help would be great on this please? Even if you guys can narrow it down to the sensor or the stalk or something (I have just had the car washed and the front windscreen is clean so it's not as if the sensor is covered in crud).

Cheers for your time.

Matt

BSI software update may fix this. Call to your dealer.

Cheers Dave. Does this mean I have to pay Peugeot another 89 diagnosis charge?

Also some times the left indicator flashes really quickly, this really is intermittent and am not sure if this is likely to be part of the same thing?

Cheers for your help.
