Default Oil llight coming on, but showing as full on dipstick

Hi guys

I am experiencing the above problem. Upon starting the car it tells me it is low, however it seems on inspection with the dipstick that it isnt.

Its been occuring for a few days now, and naturally i am worried about it. Im hoping it will be a sensor problem. Once the light flashes up on the dashboard up on start up, it goes and doesnt return after 30 seconds.

Am i still ok to drive round? Can anyone shed any light on my issue?

Thanks in advance

Tom
